Privacy policy
ALPHATRADE SAS ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés). This website is intended for professional use.
What we collect and why
| Situation | Data | Purpose and legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| RFQ form | Name (optional), company, business email, target market, product, volume, private-label status, requirement text, optional attachment | Reviewing and answering your request for quotation; steps prior to a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in handling business inquiries (art. 6(1)(f)) | 24 months after our last exchange; longer if a commercial relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus statutory retention periods |
| General inquiry form | Name, company, business email, country, company website (optional), inquiry type, subject, message, optional attachment | Answering your inquiry (art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)) | 24 months after our last exchange |
| Email and appointment requests | Whatever you include in your message | Correspondence and scheduling (art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)) | Duration of the exchange and any resulting relationship, plus statutory periods |
| Visiting the site | IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, timestamps (server and security logs) | Operating and securing the website, preventing abuse (art. 6(1)(f)) | Up to 12 months in security logs |
| Audience measurement | Pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type, country derived from a truncated IP address, time on page; no cookie is set and no identifier is stored that could recognize you across visits | Understanding how the site is used in order to improve it, for our exclusive benefit (art. 6(1)(f)); configured to meet the conditions of the CNIL exemption from consent for audience measurement | Raw data 25 months at most; aggregated statistics longer |
| Audience measurement (Google Analytics) | Pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, browser and device type, and a cookie-based identifier - collected only if you accept | Understanding how the site is used in order to improve it, on the basis of your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time | Up to 14 months |
| Session analytics (Microsoft Clarity) | Clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, page interactions and technical device data, replayed as anonymized session recordings and heatmaps; anything you type into a form field is masked - collected only if you accept | Understanding how the site is used in order to improve it, on the basis of your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time | Session recordings up to 30 days; aggregated statistics longer |
Fields marked as required in the forms are necessary to process the request; without them we cannot answer. We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising, and do not take automated decisions producing legal effects about you.
Who receives the data
- ALPHATRADE SAS staff handling commercial inquiries.
- Bluehost / Newfold Digital Inc. (United States) - website hosting and email delivery of form submissions.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) - content delivery, security filtering and, on the general inquiry and quotation request forms, the Turnstile anti-spam check, which processes technical browser signals.
- Fonts and all other page assets are served from this website; no third-party font service is loaded.
- Audience measurement is performed with two tools. Matomo is installed on this website's own server in a France-compliant, cookieless configuration: IP addresses are truncated before storage, no visitor identifier is kept, nothing is shared with any third party and no data leaves our hosting for that purpose. Google Analytics 4 is used in addition, but only with your consent: it is loaded with Google Consent Mode, and sets no analytics cookie and sends no measurement data to Google unless you select “Accept” in the banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, Google receives no measurement data about your visit. Microsoft Clarity, a session-analytics tool (recordings and heatmaps), follows the same rule: it is not loaded and records nothing unless you accept. Your browser's Do Not Track signal is honoured, and you can opt out of audience measurement at any time.
- Google LLC (United States) — EN and FR select the website’s published English and French pages where available. Auto follows the browser language. Google Translate may load when automatic translation is needed or a French page is unavailable, including when a saved language preference is applied. When it loads, Google receives the page content and connection information needed to provide translation. Selecting EN stops using automatic translation for subsequent browsing.
- Microsoft Corporation (United States) - Microsoft Clarity session analytics, loaded only after you select "Accept" in the consent banner: it records anonymized interaction data (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) to produce session recordings and heatmaps, and masks the content you type into forms.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable to each provider.
Security
Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Access to inquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond. Attachments are accepted only in common business formats and limited in size.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Matomo audience measurement is cookieless. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their measurement cookies only if you select “Accept” in the consent banner, and none at all if you decline. Technical cookies may be set by the security layer (Cloudflare) to protect the site against abuse; they are not used to identify you personally. If you choose "FR" or "Auto" translation, a "googtrans" cookie and a browser setting remember that choice until you switch back to "EN". You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site remains usable without them.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and give instructions about your data after death. To exercise these rights, write to info@alphatradecorp.com or to the registered office above; we may ask you to confirm your identity. You can also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
