Product and specification
The product is defined from your brief or your existing specification: recipe or grade, quality parameters, unit size and case configuration, confirmed with the producing site before artwork begins. What a technical data sheet must tell you.
Packaging and formats
Retail, foodservice and bulk formats are selected for the channel, with case configuration, palletization and, where required, shelf-ready presentation and unit and case coding to your standard. Why pack format decides what fits in a container.
Artwork and proof approval
Your artwork is adapted to the pack format and the producing site's print process. A proof (BAT) is approved in writing before printing and retained as the reference for every subsequent order.
Labeling review for the destination
Ingredient and allergen declarations, nutrition labeling, net quantity, dates and mandatory mentions are reviewed for the receiving market - Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 for the European Union, FDA labeling rules for the United States - before the artwork is finalized.
Documentation
Specification, batch analysis, certificates and shipping documents are coordinated for the destination market and travel with each lot. See Compliance & quality.
First order and repeat supply
The first order carries the set-up: specification alignment, artwork approval and a dedicated production slot. Approved product, packaging and commercial requirements are then carried into subsequent orders as a repeat program.
Specification and sample approval
Samples are arranged after the program, specification and relevant commercial terms are agreed. Availability, any charges and shipping arrangements are confirmed before dispatch. The approved sample and written specification become the reference for production and repeat orders.
Shipment documentation and delivery planning
Container loading, marking, export documents and the delivery plan are agreed against the confirmed pack format, case configuration and destination. See Container loading for food.
